FUN 1/ FUN 2
COLT FUN 1 & 2 Division Rules:
- Games will be played on half ice with smaller nets.
- The goalie crease at centre is made with part of the center circle and bingo dauber.
- Teams will have a 2 minute warm-up while bumper pads are being set up.
- Each game will be 22 1/2 minutes in length, with 2 1/3 minute shifts buzzed automatically.
- No scores will be kept.
- Teams will play with 4 skaters and a goalie (with just a stick- blocker, trapper and pads are not permitted) unless alternate numbers are agreed upon by both sides.
- The ring must be passed at the Ringette line by both teams (like the blue line in a regular game).
- After a goal is scored, the scoring team must retreat to their defending zone and cannot attack the ring until the ring has crossed the passing line or a first pass has been completed.
- Coaches and bench assistants should maintain swift line changes in order to maximize playing time and equal play for all athletes is required.
- One coach is required on the ice for FUN 1 to referee and guide players.
COLT FUN 2 Division Rules: same as above but also:
- Referees will be on the ice for FUN 2 only (no coaches on the ice), line violations will be called. Free-pass dots will be made between hash marks and near the blue line.
- The game will start with a free-pass to the visiting team. Each 2 1/2-minute shift will start with a free-pass with alternating possession.
- Free pass after goal & regular goalie-ring rules apply. Crease violations by the offensive team will result in a goalie ring. For crease violations by the defensive team that then takes control of the ring within 5 second count, free-pass is awarded to the other team.
All players will receive a medal at the conclusion of their final game. Medals are to be picked up at the control desk upon check in of the final game and distributed by coaches in the dressing room.
